My daughter has been with Ferocity Dance Centre since it opened and every year it keeps getting better! The teachers are remarkable and have the talent and patience to teach kids of all skill levels to dance. All genres available leaves my daughter wanting to try more and do more. Lessons, comps, battles and concerts it keeps her busy and she loves it and loves the great friendships that have also been made at this centre! Recommending to all 😀

My son, Lucas, has been attending Ferocity Dance for nearly three years, and it has been a wonderful experience. We’ve tried several dance studios, but none have matched the dedication and commitment of the instructors here. The studio offers a wide variety of dance styles, and the classes are inclusive, with both boys and girls of all skill levels. We’ve never looked back! There are numerous opportunities for both classes and dance competitions, and the concerts they organise involve all students, regardless of experience. I couldn’t imagine choosing another studio.

My son, has been a student for over 4 years! His development as a street dancer is remarkable but not only that but also his growth as a person is a delight to see. Resilience, confidence, discipline and amazing friends he gained! The professionalism and passion from the team is exceptional. Remember: Those who dance are happier!!

I absolutely love my dance nights! It always lifts my mood and I walk away feeling happy and invigotated! For 90 minutes you focus only on dancing and forget all about everything else! I did ballet as a girl, but decided to try Jazz, Lyrical and Hip Hop. A year later, I’m still loving all 3 classes! Our instructors, Kayla and Mel, are amazing! Great dancers, always enthusiastic and excited and just beautiful people! The girl’s and guys doing the classes are just as gorgeous! We have so much fun and in between learning our steps there are lots of jokes and chats. I feel so lucky to be part of such a lovely group of people 💜🩷💜

We’ve had an amazing experience with FDC over the past four years! My son has danced in different programs and even joined a hip-hop crew, while my daughter took a couple of jazz classes. Mel is such a fantastic teacher—so dedicated and always gives her all. What I loved most about the studio is that the director really knows the kids personally and gets involved in coaching them. We've seen Mel grow and expand her business, and she’s not only a great dance coach; she’s also been an inspirational figure in our sons live. The vibe among the kids has always been friendly and respectful, often leading to close friendships, regardless of age differences. We also appreciated that Mel always came up with awesome ideas for school holidays and workshops, inviting other artists and creatives. That’s definitely a standout! We wish the school nothing but the best. Unfortunately, our son is now focusing on his soccer career, but otherwise, we would have loved to stick with FDC.

Mel and Leanne have been my daughter’s dance teachers for the past 18 months. They are so compassionate and caring about the kids, their development and the built of a healthy relationship with dance, and performing arts. Being through 2 dance showcases and seeing how confident and content ALL the kids were was heartwarming. Highly recommend FDC!

I was fortunate to have Brookvale Dance Centre as my home base when training for Dancing With The Stars. The space was perfect for what we needed, ample room and nice and big for us to be able to easily create our full routines. Floor to ceiling mirrors were key as I really needed to check myself the whole time. Another big bonus was the airconditioning, keeping things nice and cool through the warmer summer months. The team at the studio were amazing and super easy to communicate with and allowed us our space and time to do what we needed to do. A big thank you to Leanne for her support and communication. Not only that the location and proximity was perfect for me, close to home, work and all the other parts of Brookvale I love (cheeky beer at Buckety's across the road) Cant wait to show off a few of the moves! Thank you, Mel and Chris, both amazing teachers who keep kids so engaged and interested! Mel is also a director of the school, very responsive and always going an extra mile. We have attended many dance schools on the northern beaches and this is the best dance school! My child is happy and so am I!

After years of searching for a local dance school that could offer true hip hop and street dance, we were super happy to discover Brookvale Dance Centre! Miss Mel and her team provide a fun and caring environment to learn different types of street dances and the broader hip hop culture, including holiday workshops to learn elements of hip hop culture, workshops with international guest speakers and opportunities to perform and compete outside of BDC. The confidence gained from her BDC experiences has helped our daughter gain courage to do public speaking, apply for leadership roles at school and develop a positive sense of identity as she transitioned from primary to high school. The concerts are impressive! Red carpet experience, screening in Hoyts during COVID times and a great on site production. Highly recommended!

My daughter has finally found her people and a dance school that offers real hip hop/ street dancing. Mel and her team offer a wide range of unique classes and extra special events. One of our highlights was filming the performances with special effects and showing them to friends and family at Hoyts theatre (with a red carpet). Mel is a true artist and it shows in her productions she goes above and beyond!!!

A nurturing studio for kids who want to learn dance in a safe space.

An amazing and professional dance company. Both my son and I attend the classes here. The adult dance classes are very varied including hip hop, house and lyrical and the teachers are phenomenal. Great choreography and music. If you love to dance, this is the place for you!

This is a very professional dance studio.. It really has such a great ‘balance’ of professionalism and fun. The teachers are fantastic and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

An absolute gem of a dance studio. We can’t thank Miss Leanne enough for her love, care and support of our little boy. We saw him grow in confidence and shine as a result of her teaching. We were so sad to leave when we relocated to QLD.

After taking my daughters to a few different dance schools, none have been the right fit and they ended up not wanting to go back, but Since bringing my daughters to BDC this year they are so happy and look forward to their classes each week. BDC teachers are not only highly talented and professional but they are nurturing and give time and energy to every child to make them feel valued and to help them thrive in their skills.
